Optigan Pitch Fix
Have you ever gone through a desk drawer frantically looking for a pencil easer only to find the rubber has turned harder than a rock? Well the Optigan has rubber on the idler wheel and when it gets hard or worn, it can affect pitch during playback of a disc. Pea has found a way to recondition these old idler wheels. See the article on his blog here. Sounds like this can be done for around $40.00.

Thanks for mentioning my blog posting. A slight correction if you don’t mind: Actually it was me (Robert) that posted the fix on Blogtigan, and it’s not a way to recondition the rubber; the rubber is completely removed and replaced with new rubber. That’s why it’s such a good fix.
